The sandwiches were really good, I believe the bun was made in house, I liked it a lot. However the beef and veg w rice dish was watery and grey with a strange flavour palette. Veg looked like they should have been cooked a few days ago. We got salad rolls which were mostly vermicelli and tested like play dough (yes, I DO know.) Peanut sauce was very very sweet to the point of being off putting. Would go back for the sandwiches only.

My husband and I love this place, incredible vermicelli bowls, my husband likes the pork and I do the deep fried tofu on vermicelli which is delicious! I’ve had the salad rolls as well, everything has been a treat

I order from here often as well as go to the physical store—it’s definitely a lot better when you eat in the restaurant. Usually it’s still pretty good when I order it but unfortunately this time it wasn’t as good, the noodles were way over-cooked and the broth wasn’t as flavourful as normal. I still enjoyed it, and will continue to order from and go in person to Truong Thanh as it is the best restaurant in Nanaimo in terms of flavour, affordability, quality, and service!
